This morning I woke up around 9 AM, and head to the post office to try and get tickets for the arctic monkeys. They will play tivoli in Utrecht by the end of May. There were three people ahead of myself in the queue and judging by accents, at least two of them were british*. We waited for around 15 minutes before 10 AM, opening time of the post-office, and official time for the tickets to go on sale in all major post offices in the Netherlands. I guess you are making a right guess of what happened. The three ahead of me went to the teller, and left happily with a ticket in hand. I didn't. It was 10:05 AM when I left the post office empty-handed.
*Unsurprisingly, Dutch take it easy when it comes to concerts. I arrived two hours ahead of time for my first concert in the Netherlands - Morrissey - and I found myself almost alone in the queue. We Colombians are different in this respect.
Arctic monkeys are popular, they really are

April 21, 2007 at 4:12 PMTickets weren't sold online. Only in post offices. They do not sell on-line when it's popular and in small venues (btw, most concerts are in small venues here).
