Morrissey 2008

On February 6th, Morrissey appeared on Later, playing mostly new material. I drank a lot of beer and intoxicated my brain with different things while watching the whole thing on BBC 2. Later...we ended up watching a random selection of "later performances" in youTube. They all sounded and looked amazing, and me and my friends speculated on how musicians must give it all with Jools, given the show's reputation. That, plus the evident expertise of the BBC production.

Morrissey opened the night with "That's how people grow up" (video | lyrics), the single that already appeared in the most recent greatest hits compilation.

The second number by moz was "Something is squeezing my skull" (video | lyrics), which everybody suspects will be a single in the new album, to be released later this year.

Another prospective new single was number 3. "All you need is me" (video | lyrics) ... very good lyrics - see here what Noel Gallagher thinks of moz's lyrics.
